LENZ has successfully concluded the implementation of the fully functional in-line process monitoring tool that will be installed at SUNPLUGGED’s roll-to-roll industrial pilot line. The success in the implementation of the tool has been possible thanks to the interdisciplinary collaboration of SUNPLUGGED (definition of industrial requirements and tool functionality), IREC (development of methodologies and tools for combinatorial Raman-photoluminescence in-line monitoring and definition of optimum components) and LENZ (electric, electronic and mechanical design and implementation and software development). The tool will allow to optimize and increase production yield and efficiency of the CIGS photovoltaic flexible foil that is integrated within the frame of the Solar-Win windows for clean power generation through precise, fast and non-destructive in-line inspection based on Raman and photoluminescence spectroscopy. This will ensure the cost-efficiency of the Solar-Win fully transparent photovoltaic window technology.
