We're PHYSEEonairs, and we're also human. We deal with struggles at work, endure high stress levels, battle unmotivated days, weeks or even months. From weekly bootcamps to employee coaching, personal development plans and company activities, we've always strived to be an employer that puts people first. Which is why we're trying to do more.
This year was more challenging than anyone could have anticipated, so we decided to update the support we offer our PHYSEEonairs mental and physical health, hoping to make our working environment a more enjoyable one. Online or offline.
Our HR and culture team recently introduced exciting new opportunities in PHYSEE Care, giving more space for personal development as well as tools to tackle topics one might be struggling with:
We believe that PHYSEEonairs deserve an extra five days per year to refuel and work on themselves. We have partnered up with EdX learning, a platform with endless opportunities to improve existing skills or surprise yourself with untapped talents in others. From data science to leadership, theres a topic for everyone.
After a month of access, we've been excited to see what PHYSEEonairs have gotten up to on their personal learning days.
"I'm half way through the course and already feel like I'm a better engineer. We have a lot of complex challenges as engineers at PHYSEE and this is helping me in designing new solutions." - Arjen Jellema, Embedded Hardware Engineer
Our mental wellbeing has a huge impact on the way we think, feel and behave. It affects how we handle stress, how we relate to one another and how we make decisions. Mental wellbeing is essential for a happy life. That's why we're very proud to share that we are collaborating with OpenUp.
"We want to be the kind of employer that provides genuine care and support, and I truly believe this is part of what makes us ‘us’, and one of a kind. It was a tough year for everyone and the pandemic presented a new range of challenges both at work and at home." - Frederique Pars, Head of People and Culture
OpenUp provides quick and approachable access to mental health courses, health checks, interviews and 1-on-1 consults with a psychologist via phone, online chat and video. It's a preventative measure aimed at tackling mental health issues in their early stages.
With these two new additions to PHYSEE Care, we hope that PHYSEEonairs give their mental health and personal growth more attention, without any stress of interfering with work.
